As the daughter of doorslammer legend and engine builder extraordinaire Pat Musi, Lizzy Musi grew up at the drag strip. After working her way up through the Jr. Dragster ranks, 2013 saw the second-generation driver enjoy an excellent season as a frontrunner in Top Sportsman competition.

2014 promised much bigger things for Lizzy Musi as she made her Pro Nitrous debut behind the wheel of “King Kong 5”, the 2009 Dodge Stratus formerly campaigned by her father. The car was updated with the latest components and technology, including an all-new Pat Musi Racing Engines 903 EFI powerplant that propelled her to the number two qualifying position and a semi-final finish at her first race.

Musi’s 3.802-second run at 200.02 MPH made her the first woman to break the 200 MPH barrier in eighth-mile doorslammer racing. Musi etched her name in the record books once again when she became the first woman to win a Pro Nitrous national event at the Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) US Drags at Virginia Motorsports Park in July of 2014. When the smoke cleared at the end of the season, consistent performance had carried Musi to a third place finish in the championship points standings and PDRA Rookie of the Year honors.

For the past several seasons, Lizzy Musi has been a contender for the Pro Nitrous championship as she pilots one of the sleekest machines in the division, “King Kong 7”. The 2018 Dodge Dart is powered by a state-of-the- art Musi 959 cubic inch engine and is currently the quickest and fastest nitrous-assisted car on the planet, having rocketed to a 3.615 elapsed time at over 209 MPH in the eighth-mile.
Musi added another layer to her success in 2019, when she burst onto the Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings scene and scored three consecutive victories in her “Aftershock” Camaro powered by a Musi 959. She became not only the first female driver to win a No Prep Kings event, but also the first driver to achieve three consecutive wins.

The talented 29-year-old from Carteret, NJ, has already become one of the sport’s most popular drivers. Musi is well on her way to drag racing superstardom as she works to achieve her goal of competing at the sport’s highest level, NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Top Fuel or Funny Car.
